Tyrconnell – 10 Year Old – Single Malt – Sherry Cask Finish – 50ml Sample*

11.00

Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Sherry Finish – After ten years spent in bourbon barrels, The Tyrconnell Sherry Cask Finish spends an additional 6-8 months in Oloroso Sherry casks from Spain. The casks exert their influence on the whiskey, creating a noticeably darker finished product. The interaction of single malt and fortified wine casks creates a veritable dessert in a glass, in which thick notes of sherry find themselves melding amongst hints of tarte tatin and custard. ABV 46%

*All samples are rebottled/labelled in our own 50ml bottles and packed into Dick Mack’s branded packaging.

Tasting Notes

Nose – Lots of rich sherry characters. Spicy and leathery aromas with touches of chocolate, creme caramel, dried fruits and exotic spices. There’s also a touch of old/toasty oak.

Palate – Fruity and sweet with lovely old oak flavours. Flavours of caramel toffees, exotic spices, dates, walnuts and raisins. Despite the warm and earthy flavours it remains fresh and fruity keeping within the distillery’s character.
